Hello Angela!

Good to hear that you've missed us; I hope it means that you're coming next Vestingfeest!
Yes, the Lamme Goedzak is closed. You can have a drink at "Het Hoofdkantoor" (The HeadQuarters) now. Most of the FFX-es stayed on the terrace of Eric's.

I hope real life doesn't treat you to hard. But, as I recently experienced, it's always a shock to realise that the real and serious world can suddenly enter your life at any time. Take care!

I'd also noticed that the websites aren't updated yet. It's a long time ago that something changed on the FFX site. And only the site of Dev's and Walton's are active. But cos of busy works of Ken, the Dev's site isn't update anymore. Pity.
I will put Sjaak hard at editing the pictures on this site! Shall I prick him with a pike??

Hey, don't apologize for your Dutch! It's better than most of your red army colleagues! And don't forget my rubbish English!

Groetjes en kusjes,
Ineke

Hi all,

As a Dutch girl I know how most of the Dutch people are celebrating Christmas. I'm curious to know how the English are celebrating these Holy days. Does anyone want to share this with us?

Hi all,

Last year Fairfax joined our culture-hitoric event "Vestingfeest", which was very appreciated by the public.
A group of people of the Battery is organising this event again for June 2005. Cos of Fairfaxes experiences with several events, I am wondering if you have some tips, ideas, suggstions for the organisation. The event has a few elements that cannot be changed (f.e. attack at the gate, Spanish occupier in old town, army of Maurits as attacker and winner) but the get-up, dressings and crowning piece will be filled up for free. Let me know what you've missed, what you like to see on the event, etc., etc., etc.
Thanks in advance!

Ineke

Want to visit Holland and like to see some of the Dutch re-enactment? Take a look at www.middeleeuwsetoestanden.com, www.lplg.nl, www.vestingsteden.nl

Last weekend some members of the Bergsche Battery and of their colleague army Borgerij BerghenopdenZoom had a Swordschool at the Netherlands. Dave White, Phil Staker, Maria Wilkinson and Robert Burrel-Draper instructed the motivated people how to handle their sword. All of the participants graduated and are now licensed swordfighters. You can recognize them on their blue ribbon.
Even Robert Burrel-Draper passed the test, recieved his 'blauw lintje' and is allowed to use his sword now officially!

Before you are going to visit an event with the Waltons: be prepared!
Take a look at the "Roques gallery", under Photos in Main Menu. You will find some of the Walton's.
Aren't they all very handsome? They are worth to see them alive!

At Stoneleigh park a friendly man, named Joseph Platt, took some pictures of us. He is going to put them on his website. Take a look at his website and find yourself or a re-enactmentfriend at his periode portrait gallery.

The Walton Regiment (part of the Fairfax Battalia) has some members all over UK, but also on the other side of the North Sea; in Holland. Three of those Dutch members are really looking forward to the great event at Stoneleigh Park on 7 and 8 August. If you are interested, (and you are, cos you are looking on this website) come to Stoneleigh and take a look at Fairfax. I want to bet that when you see Fairfax busy with the re-enactment you wish you could join that imposing red army!!

See you at Stoneleigh!

Ineke
