Right. I can actually get into Newport,as long as the trains run, the buses run and nothing happens between now and Saturday.....

I have too much time on my hands at work today....

Found this site of an american group who do Landsknecht reenactment. http://st-max.org/todesengel_main.htm

The interesting bit is here, taken from a German 17th Century drill book called Des Kriegsbücßleins, thro I think they mean Die. The site is here:- http://www.st-max.org/FechtWeb/pike.htm. I think I'll try and track down this source and add some details

Now look what I've found!

http://www.tudortailor.com/index.htm

Ninya Mikhalia makes some stunning stuff and this looks to be a damm useful book to own and dribble over. As the website says if she sells enough they'll move on to doing the next book with a title of "The Stuart Tailor: reconstructing 17th century dress"

Buy! Buy ! Buy!
